The story of Orta officially began in 2016, following the marriage of its founders, both professional winemakers who met at a wine factory. Their shared passion for winemaking inspired them to overcome numerous challenges and establish a small, family-run winery. Today, Orta is a thriving venture, welcoming tourists and offering delightful wine tastings.
Winery produces 4-5 types of wines and boasts its own distillery, where they craft Chacha and brandy spirits. In 2023, their wine made its debut on the international market, with the first export to Poland. The winery is also home to unique grape varieties such as Jghia, and they have ambitious plans to create sparkling wine from this rare grape, a product that will be unmatched in the Georgian market.
At Orta, everything is managed in-house, from nurturing their vineyards to bottling the wine, ensuring the highest quality at every step.
