Kisi, a rare but exciting indigenous white grape variety, originates from the Kakheti region in southeastern Georgia. While its exact origins remain shrouded in mystery, Kisi has been cultivated in the region for at least several centuries, making it a cherished component of Georgia's winemaking heritage.
Viticulture
Kisi thrives in the diverse terroir of Kakheti, adapting to the region's unique soil types and climatic conditions. Its resilience and adaptability make it well-suited to the rugged landscapes and varying elevations of southeastern Georgia, where vineyards flourish under the gentle sun and cool breezes. Kisi grapes are particularly popular in several municipalities within the Kakheti region, including Akhmeta, Telavi, Gurjaani, and Kvareli.

Dry Kisi wines are prized for their vibrant acidity, citrus notes, and mineral-driven palate, reflecting the purity and elegance of the grape. Often aged in traditional qvevris, these wines offer a true expression of Kakheti's winemaking heritage and the timeless appeal of Kisi grapes.

Amber Kisi wines, crafted with extended skin contact during fermentation, exhibit a rich amber hue and complex aromas of dried fruits, spices, and honey.
