Ikaltos Tsiteli

Ikaltos Tsiteli is a red grape variety that is indigenous to Georgia, particularly from the Kakheti region. The name "Ikalto" refers to a village in Kakheti known for its historical significance, including the Ikalto Monastery, which dates back to the 6th century and was a center of education and winemaking. The word "Tsiteli" means "red" in Georgian, commonly used to denote the color of the grape and the wine produced from it.
