Dano Winery founded in 2017 by David Mosulishvili and Nona Mchedlishvili, Winery Dano is nestled in the village of Khornabuji, Sighnaghi municipality, near the historic Khornabuji fortress. This small family farm produces natural wines from their own 40-year-old vineyard without using systemic pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides. Their collection includes old Georgian grape varieties like Grdzelmtevana, Khikhvi, and Vardisperi Rkatsiteli. Dano is a member of the Natural Wine Association (NWA) and the Women in Wine Industry (WWI) Association.
In addition to wine, Winery Dano brews unfiltered, unpasteurized wheat beer over firewood using their homegrown wheat and barley malt. Local hops contribute to the flavor, and natural carbonation occurs over 14 days. This dedication to natural and traditional methods reflects their commitment to quality and authenticity, further solidifying their place in the sustainable wine and beer community.
