Utskinari was founded in 2017 with a passion for creating natural Qvevri wines using traditional Kakhetian methods. For over half a century, winemaking has been a cherished family tradition, with a dedicated space for crafting wine that has always been a part of the household. Establishing Utskinari Cellar was the realization of a long-held dream to produce authentic, traditional Qvevri wine. Today, Utskinari produces around 10,000 bottles annually, with the capacity to expand to 20,000-25,000 bottles. While their primary focus remains on Qvevri techniques, they plan to introduce wines made with classical methods in the near future. Currently, winery works with both Kakhetian and Rachian grape varieties.
Their Kakhetian vineyards are located in Maghraani, Akhmeta, at 500 meters above sea level, In Racha, their vineyard is situated in Ambrolauri, in the village of Sadmeli, at 760 meters above sea level.
