Natro Winery's story began in 1973 when Vakhtang Natroshvili, a local villager, planted his vineyard in Kvemo Gomi, a village in the Kaspi district. Vakhtang's vineyard featured a compact layout (1m x 1m spacing) and was primarily composed of Chinuri, Goruli Mtsvane and Tavkveri grape varieties. From the outset, Vakhtangi embraced traditional Qvevri winemaking
For many years, Vakhtangi's wines were made simply for family and friends, gaining a cherished reputation. In 2023, his grandson, Mikheil Natroshvili, decided to revive this family tradition on a larger scale by establishing Natro Winery. Inspired by his family's legacy and modern viticulture education, Mikheil set out to craft a distinctive Georgian wine one that honors both the heritage of winemaking and the latest advancements in the field.
