The Gvinadze family has been synonymous with wine production since 1898, a tradition now upheld by the fourth generation. Naperebi wine comes from a vineyard at the base of the Nekresi monastery mountains in the Kindzmarauli micro-zone of Kakheti, Georgia. The family meticulously hand-selects Saperavi grapes, which are then fermented and matured in Qvevri before aging for six months in French oak barrels.
Naperebi’s Saperavi wine is distinguished by its deep violet color and complex flavor profile. It offers a rich array of aromas, including blackberry, dried black plums, and black tea, enhanced by the flavors imparted by the French oak. The wine is well-concentrated, silky, and full-bodied, with an extended finish and a lingering aftertaste, making it a standout in the region..
