Naberauli, a wine rich in history. According to legend, its history dates back to the 17th-18th centuries, when Georgian lowlands fought against the enemy and the vine—regarded as a Georgian treasure—was carried to the highlands. It appears that the ancestors of the Georgian people understood from the start that wine would become the emblematic drink representing them globally. It was to the pristine lands of mountainous Racha that monks secretly brought the grapes for cultivation. Throughout the summer, they nurtured these unique vines, eventually harvesting and fermenting them during the sunny, golden autumn days. Today, only remnants of the monks' cellars remain in this area, while the history itself had largely been forgotten. However, with the help of local people, the tale of Rachian wine was revived, and the winery was named Naberauli in honor of its founders (Naberauli in Georgian means "the place where the monks lived").
Naberauli Wines takes immense pride in crafting unique and exquisite wines sourced from the regions of Racha and Lechkhumi, utilizing traditional Georgian Qvevri as well as classic winemaking techniques. Their commitment to limited production ensures that each bottle embodies the highest quality, reflecting the essence of the terroir. Their mission is to preserve and develop the diversity of Georgian wines while raising awareness of Racha’s unique wines on the international market. Naberauli Wines is eager to collaborate with partners who share their passion for rare grape varieties and the art of winemaking.
