Dimitri Kipiani, a renowned winemaker, was the great ancestor of Gigi Kipiani, the founder of Kipiani Winery. In 2019, Gigi began producing Khvanchkara under the "Kipiani Wine Brand," with an annual production of 1,500 bottles. By 2023, he had added two new varieties, Tsolikouri and Aleksandrouli, producing 200-250 bottles each. Looking ahead, he plans to expand the production of these three varieties in the coming year.
