In 2017, Ketevan Aladashvili, together with her sister Nino, established KateWine in Telavi. With the dedicated support of their family, they craft premium Qvevri wines using traditional Kakhetian techniques within their family’s cellar. The journey began by acquiring vineyards and commissioning custom-made Qvevris in Vardisubani. That same year, Ketevan produced her first wines—Saperavi from her own vineyard in the Kvareli microzone
Currently, KateWine operates without a dedicated cellar, with Qvevris resting under the open sky in their yard where all the winemaking takes place. The next step for KateWine is ambitious: expanding their collection, building a larger winery, and creating an inviting space for wine tourism.
