The Janiashvili family winery, situated in the village of Kalauri in the Gurjaani district, boasts a winemaking tradition that spans over half a century. Initially, their efforts were focused solely on processing grapes and supplying them to factories. However, in September 2021, the winery was officially established as a brand, marking a significant milestone in their journey. This transition included not only producing wine but also bottling and branding it, allowing them to showcase their unique products directly to consumers.
Since their rebranding, the Janiashvili winery has expanded its reach, entering the international market in 2022 with exports to France. Their commitment to quality and tradition has also gained them a foothold in the local market, where their wines are available in several wine shops and bars. This expansion reflects their dedication to growing their legacy and sharing the distinct flavors of their wines with a broader audience, ensuring that their family's winemaking heritage continues to thrive.
