Chito's Gvino
Share
An artisan winery, established in 2017 by Tbilisi native and pianist Nino Chitoshvili, merges art, philosophy, and winemaking. Nino transitioned to winemaking driven by her profound love for wine and its emotional resonance, which she finds even more harmonious than music. Located in Martkopi, Kartli, the winery adheres to natural and organic winemaking practices. They utilize Qvevri for 7-9 months of natural vinification with wild yeasts and no filtration, producing wines solely from her own vineyards in Vachnadziani, Kakheti.
The winery produces up to 10,000 bottles annually, with their 2021 Saperavi winning a gold medal at the international Saperavi competition. Chito’s Gvino is also a proud member of the Georgian Natural Wine Association.
Location: Martkopi, Kartli, Georgia
Annual production: 10000 bottles
