Story of Babas Marani began in 2017 when the founder, known as "Baba," won his first medal at a wine competition. This event marked the start of their journey in winemaking.
After Baba's passing, his successor became actively involved in viticulture and winemaking. They started producing and bottling wines from various grape varieties grown in their vineyards. The wines include Tsolikouri, Chkhaveri, and Otskhanuri Sapere. They also planted new grape varieties like Jani and Skhilatubani.
The small family cellar welcomes visitors and tourists, who can taste the wines and enjoy different dishes from Gurian cuisine.
They have started constructing a larger, new cellar to expand their operations. As members of the Natural Wine Association, they continue to grow and increase their harvest each year.
