This family winery has deep roots in Georgian winemaking traditions, reviving their ancestors' practices in wine production with a focus on Megrelian and Imeretian grape varieties like Ojaleshi, Chvitiluri, Tsitska, Krakhuna, and Tsolikouri. Starting with small-scale production of up to 2,000 bottles annually for the local market, they aim to expand their quantity and variety each year. The visual aspect of their wine is essential, and they have carefully designed labels that reflect their cultural heritage, including elements inspired by the 14th-century frescoes of Martvili. Through the label’s artwork, they share stories of Georgian history, fashion, and noble status, connecting their product with the region's rich past.
In the future, they plan to create a comprehensive visitor experience by establishing cottages in the Abasha River valley, where their vineyards are located. This retreat will offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy stunning sunsets. They also aim to educate visitors about Georgia's lesser-known villages and heritage through guided excursions, wine tastings, and Megrelian cuisine. To further enrich the experience, they will organize painting masterclasses inspired by the region's art and history, offering a blend of cultural, historical, and natural exploration.
