Nestled in the heart of legendary Kakheti wine region, Archil’s Wine is a rising star in the Georgian winemaking landscape. Founded in 2011 by Archil Utiashvili as a brand on Telavi Old Cellar, this passionate producer creates exceptional small-batch wines that express the unique terroir of the Tsinandali micro-zone.
Winery focus on iconic Georgian grapes – Rkatsiteli and Saperavi – grown in their own 50+ year-old organic vineyard at an altitude of 510 meters above sea level. Archil spent years carefully and lovingly restoring this vineyard, and it seems that the vineyard reciprocates, yielding grapes of exceptional character. In some cases, he source grapes only from selected vineyards that meet his quality requirements.
Archil’s wine are crafted according to Georgian traditional method using skins and stems during fermentation for both white and red grape varieties, but with European accent with fermentation in stainless steel and subsequent aging in not new French oak. The resulting wines showcase pure fruit flavors and beautiful complexity, concentrated and elegant.
